The hyaluron pen is everywhere these days, especially social media. But, the truth is, the hyaluron pen is a bad idea. In fact, it’s actually dangerous. While it’s supposed to puff up lips, it, like fillers, is made from hyaluronic acid—something that naturally occurs in the body. Despite that, the hyaluron pen is not what you are looking for when it comes to a perfect pout. Don’t be fooled by the misinformation out there.
What is a Hyaluron Pen
The hyaluron pen was actually created for people with diabetes. Without using needles, it allowed insulin into the subcutaneous tissue. It creates a pressure against the skin so the hyaluronic acid is forced into the skin without a true injection. And while, yes, it was meant to do that with insulin. It was never intended to do thatwith hyaluronic acid to your lips. It’s also not approved by the FDA for those purposes.
What Can Go Wrong With a Hyaluron Pen
Since the hyaluron pen is not FDA approved, here are more than a few reasons why it’s also a bad idea: For starters, it can cause skin stains, abscesses and inflammation. And if that’s not bad enough, in truly bad instances, it’s caused bacterial and fungal infections from contaminated devices. Don’t even think about sharing it because doing so can result in disease. Would you try injecting fillers yourself? No. So why would you try something like this by yourself? You can’t purchase fillers yourself because a trained professional needs to apply them. Proper fillers need to be done by a trained professional. You’ll also notice trained professionals don’t use the pen. Because it isn’t safe or effective.
Injections Over the Pen
