lip service

Its all about LIP rejuvenation! The lips are the most exciting part of the face.  There are so many styles and ways to sculpt and design lips. There are two reasons for doing lip filler: To restore what you once had or to create something you’ve never had before.

Lip Menu

Smooth Smile: this is for a surface texture only with little to no volume to smooth out the lines on the lips and around the mouth to create a silky texture with a subtle gloss look to the lips.

Designed to hydrate and soften the lip texture.

Lip Lift

It is very common as we grow older that gravity brings down the corners of the mouth creating a droopy, jowly effect.  This is an easy fix that makes a huge difference in the appearance by injecting filler in strategic areas around the corners of the lips aka the oral commissures.

 Lip Contour

Defined and prominent lip boarder.  Fill in and naturally create a beautiful lip border, contour and shape filling in lines and wrinkles on uneven lips for balance and symmetry for a beautiful youthful appearance.  This is great for patients whose lipstick bleeds into the lines outside of the lips.

Bring it Back

As we age, we lose lip volume and the lips become thinner and more shriveled.  This treatment restores the healthy lip volume and smoothness that is youthful and natural looking.

Perfect Proportion

Create perfect balance between the volume in the upper and lower lip and symmetry for a perfectly balanced pout.

Cute Cupids

Naturally over time, the double arch shape of the upper lip flattens making the peaks less defined.  By enhancing the cupids bow area with filler, you can restore definition, beautiful fullness and sexiness that you once had.

all about that boo-tox

Miami Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner Danielle Smith uses Botox Cosmetic for wrinkle elimination in areas such as crows feet, between the eyes - glabella (aka the 11's), smoker-lines or lip wrinkles, laugh lines, neck wrinkles (bands) and many others.  Danielle Smith NP will also use botox to decrease the contractility of certain facial muscles in order to “open” specific areas.  The best example is using botox injections to open the eyes.  Click here to read more about eyelid rejuvenation.

Crows Feet

Eyes are the windows to the soul and often the first place to show signs of aging.  Botox Cosmetic is used around the eye to smooth out and soften both superficial and deep lines; creating a youthful, refreshed and rejuvenated appearance.

Frown Lines

The vertical lines and grooves between the eye brows can create a constant angry look.  Botox Cosmetic is used to target and relax muscle activity in this area to visibly smooth the lines resulting in a younger, softer-looking appearance.

Forehead lines

With constant movement and facial expressions, such as raising our eyebrows, we tend to form lines and wrinkles on our forehead.  Botox Cosmetic relaxes muscle activity to smooth out lines and wrinkles for a more lifted, refreshed look.

Bunny Lines

Bunny Lines are winkles that form at the sides and top of the nose when you smile, laugh, scrunch and squint.  Botox Cosmetic is a quick fix to subtly soften, smooth and prevent these lines from becoming deeper.

Brow Lift

Danielle Smith NP uses Botox Cosmetic to target the muscle that depresses the brows relaxing them in an uplifted part of the face for a more vibrant and rejuvenated overall look.

It's never too late!

It's never too late to start using Botox to reverse and prevent the signs of aging. Reverse the signs of aging by eliminating wrinkles and fine lines on the forehead, around the eyes or between the brows.  Millennials – be proactive and prevent wrinkles from occurring, lift brows and open eyes.  Danielle uses these wrinkle erasers to lift, tighten, smooth and create symmetry for the perfect, flawless look.

my wrinkles

Fun Fact ▪️I used to require 70units of botox to tame this forehead and frown lines. It took me 2 years of injecting 70 units of botox every 4months to get it under control. Now I simply maintain with 15-20units every 4months. ▪️Can you believe I was 21 in this photo? ▪️
I often get asked, "When is a good time to start doing botox?" Most people would think 21 is way too young to start until you see this forehead... Each patient is different, but my general rule is 1) if you make the expression and then relax, can you see the lines at rest? If yes, (even faintly)... it's time. ▪️Without botox the lines will only continue to set and get deeper. Which then requires more units, and more time to correct them. 2) sooner is always better than later. ▪️even if it's once, or once a year, the smallest amount of botox prevention can make a huge difference. ▪️The GOAL 🥅: to be able to use the least amount of botox overtime. By starting early, we can stay in prevention phase longer and then maintain with less. I like to call this ▪️BABY BOTOX ▪️it optimizes movement and expression while suppressing wrinkles and lines to give the most natural results possible. ▪️▪️▪️get the magic @smithand_co

sculptra

Youthful skin starts within

Sculptra® Aesthetic works subtly and gradually over time for a more youthful-looking appearance. Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, Sculptra Aesthetic helps stimulate your skin’s own natural collagen production to help restore its inner structure and increase facial volume that has been lost to aging.1-3Sculptra Aesthetic is intended for use in people with healthy immune systems as a one-time treatment regimen of up to four injection sessions that are scheduled about three weeks apart.

Collagen by the numbers

Collagen is a key structural component of smooth, healthy-looking skin. As you age, your body’s collagen production decreases. In fact, you lose about 1% of collagen per year after the age of 18.5 This is when you may start to notice the formation of wrinkles. Luckily, Sculptra Aesthetic can help, even if decades of collagen loss have already occurred.

YOU LOSE ABOUT 1% OF COLLAGEN PER YEAR AFTER THE AGE OF 18.5

Collagen Is the Key

The not-so-secret cause of facial aging

One of the primary reasons for visible facial aging is loss ofcollagen, a fibrous protein in the deep dermis that givesstructure to skin and supports the functions of elastin andhyaluronic acid (HA). Elastin is an elastic protein that

maintains skin shape, while HA cushions and lubricates to keep the skin hydrated. More collagen enables the presence of more elastin and HA.

Main Modalities to Fight Aging

Resurfacing

Chemical peels, microdermabrasion and laser resurfacing modify the surface of the skin to correct visible signs of sun damage, such as fine lines, irregular pigmentation and blemishes.

Injectables

Toxins, traditional fillers (hyaluronic acid) and collagen stimulators are injected into facial areas to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles and restore facial contours.

Surgery

A wide range of surgical procedures exist, like liposuction, face-lifts and fat transfers, which are used to remove excess fat, lift severely sagging skin or fill facial hollows. These are the most invasive types of treatment.

secret of aging

Research has shown that Aging Skin is very similar to that of wounded skin.  As skin ages the structural function of the different layers beings to weaken and breakdown causing a loss in elasticity and volume which leads to the sagging, wrinkled appearance of aged and damaged skin.  The bedrock of our skin is in the vascular supply, young skin with strong capillaries is apply to provide a consistent supply of nutrients and oxygen to the dermis.  The vascular supply is also removing the toxins and oxidative stress from our skin that is accumulated through environmental exposure such as poor diet, sun damage, smog and other chemicals.  The dermis is responsible for housing and producing our collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid.  These are the powerhouse of youthful, taught, full skin.  As we age the production and quality of these proteins declines resulting in a weaker and less effective variation.  The most superficial layer of skin, the Epidermis, is known for its high cellular vitality providing our skin with that sustained glow and radiance.  As we age the loss of cellular vitality and slower cell turn over due to a lack of nutrients, and accumulation of toxins dulls our natural glow.  Have you ever noticed how a baby’s skin glows?  That is because the skin cells of an infant are as effective as they will ever be, full of nutrients, good blood supply and free from environmental stressors and toxins.

So what is the secret to restoring our skin vitality? Feed it! Eliminate the toxins and environmental stressors and provide it with the nutrients it needs to thrive and regenerate.  PSP - the proprietary technology harnessed in NeoCutis Skin Care, are Human Growth Factors designed to directly stimulate our own collagen and elastin through fibroblast function.  Read more about PSP here.

waterproof contour

Looking for the Kim Kardashian contoured look?  Make-up artist have mastered the art of highlighting and using contouring makeup.  This deception of light and shadows provides the allusion of definition to your natural features.  By applying base low-light and highlight colors in the right areas makeup artist are able to alter the appearance of “shadows” on the face and therefor giving it is “definition”.  When in reality these are not shadows at all, there are just variations in the coloring of the make-up.   Wouldn’t this be great if you could achieve this without spending hours getting ready or pounds of makeup caked on your face?  Well you can, by ACTUALLY defining these features on your face, such as with a Cheek Contouring.
